Extendable opera glass

Czechoslovakia, brand Karl Wejtruba, material metal, cm closed 6,5 - open 8,3 - wide 9 - small lens Ø 1,2 large lens Ø 2,8

This antique extendable opera glass combines metal and mother-of-pearl in a delicate design, preserved in excellent external condition.
While the lenses show minor internal spotting, these imperfections do not obstruct the view during use.
The binocular is accompanied by its original leather case, which shows significant age-related wear, including fading and the loss of its original clasp.
An inscription inside the case—"KARL WEJTRUBA ST - Karlin 66 Smichov 7"—identifies its Czech origin, pointing to a workshop active in the early 20th century.
This set represents a well-preserved example of pre-war European craftsmanship.
