FACE Standard “bigrigio” rotary phone, 1960-70

Italy 1960-1970, brand FACE Standard, material plastic, cm 22x14,5x11

This disc-shaped model was the rotary telephone par excellence for three generations of Italians.
The project was by the designer Lino Saltini on behalf of Siemens, but in the following decades it was also produced by FATME, Italtel and Face Standard with the name F63. It was jokingly called "bigrigio" because the handset and the body of the device were made of plastic material in two different shades of grey.
