This model is the evolution of the F63 produced in the 1960s based on the design of Lino Saltini.
The name F.A.C.E. is an acronym for Electrical Communications Equipment Factory.
The Face Standard, was an Italian company created in 1935 as a spin-off of the Standard Electric Italiana based in Milan.
In 2003 it changed its name to Industrie Dial Face (IDF), before closing in 2012.
